I am a doctoral candidate at UCSD and I intend to defend my Ph.D. thesis by December 2008. My main area of specialization is philosophy of science, with an emphasis on philosophy of physics. I am especially interested in the scientific unification. I work in metaphysics, cognitive science, logic, philosophy of artificial intelligence, philosophy of technology. In the history of philosophy I have various research interests in Aristotle, Leibniz, Kant, A. N. Whitehead, David Lewis.

Before starting the PhD program at UCSD in 2002, I held academic positions at the University of Bucharest, Department of Philosophy and Polytechnic University of Bucharest, Department of Physics.
