The course TA is: Justin McCullough jsmccull@ucsd.edu . Justin has office hours Mondays 12:45-2:45 in Galbraith Hall 173C.
SIO Director Tony Haymet agreed to give the lecture October 2, 2007 (but got tied up at the last minute). Instead, Justin McCullough will meet the class Oct. 2 (while I'm in London) for a discussion of global warming and Al Gore's movie "An Inconvenient Truth". A copy of the film in DVD form is on reserve in the library for STPA 35. Adam Young of the Center for Coastal Research at SIO will meet the class October 4 to discuss "Coping with California's Coastal Erosion". Former SIO Director Charlie Kennel has offered to give a guest lecture about the Pew Oceans Commission results and "Ocean Blues" on Thursday, October 18, so please be sure to attend.

The class
list (revised to include waitlisted students) has been given to the educational office of the Birch Aquarium (entrance at light to west from Torrey
Pines southwest of campus) . As a member of STPA 35 you can visit
free all quarter at any time. Bring a picture ID.
Please write a clear, scientific
report of your term project. Try not to exceed about 10 pages.

of Wisconsin, Stevens Point may be helpful. The written report and homework are due either December 4 or 5, depending on when you present your oral report. The schedule of presentations is here.
